LBB have installed attractive new litter bins on and around the High Street that hopefully will encourage people to keep Beckenham’s environment cleaner – they’ve certainly smartened up the area.
New recycling bins are currently being ordered too to replace the ones outside Sainsbury’s and Waitrose entrances.
Nice work on the new bin design. But we now have several styles of bins throughout the town. And in some cases several bins (of differing styles) in any one regular stretch of public space. The stretch outside St George’s church (opp Natwest) is a case in point. One new bin on the approach to the bus stop, and two bins at the bus stop. Do we need so many?
Shame they cannot instal them in Penge!
