Temporary parking restrictions on The Avenue

Temporary parking restrictions will be introduced on The Avenue to help with traffic flow whilst the diversion is in place for the Southend Road/Park Road/Foxgrove Road junction safety improvement scheme.

The notice issued by Bromley Council Transport and Highways:

From 3rd June – August 26th 2024, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait on the northern curb-line of The Avenue, from its junction with Southend Road to its junction with Westgate Road. Cones will be placed along this section, alerting vehicle users of the restriction. If the safety improvement scheme is complete before August 26th, restrictions will be removed early.

“Waiting” means waiting for any purpose including the delivery or collection of goods or merchandise and the loading or unloading of vehicles restrictions. Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission or direction of a Police Officer in uniform or Traffic Warden. Emergency access and egress routes will be maintained at all times.
