A planning application to to demolish The Lodge (on the corner of Park Road opposite South Park Court) and build a 3-storey block of modern flats in its place has been submitted. The Lodge is a building of character in a conservation area. There are also a number of mature trees on the site including 2 two ancient cedar trees currently under a Tree Protection Order that may be affected. Any residents who wish to comment on the planning application must do so ASAP, the application is due to be decided on 19 June so you will need to get comments in well before this date. Failure to provide these details will mean your comments will not be not accepted.
