Local authorities are required to produce an Air Quality Action Plan (AQAP) every five years, to pro-actively monitor and address air pollution. Air pollution has negative impacts on public health, particularly for children, older residents and people with asthma or heart disease.

Bromley Council’s draft AQAP for 2027-2031 is out for public consultation for six weeks from today, Monday 7th September. While CCARA will make a submission to this consultation, residents are also encouraged to contribute individually.

The draft plan can be viewed here: Air Quality Action Plan 2027-2031 Consultation Draft

Consultation responses can be submitted via the survey posted on Bromley Council’s web page: Air Quality Action Plan consultation.

The consultation period runs from Monday 7th September until Sunday 18th October 2026.
